Five Irving ISD middle schools were awarded a multi-year grant from Verizon that includes data-enabled 1-1 iPads for all students and teachers, a digital learning coach at each campus, and professional development for teachers and staff. This grant is directed by Digital Promise and the goal of this initiative is to provide 24/7 access to technology to empower learners to be "content creators, adept problem-solvers, and responsible consumers of digital media and learning resources".
