Administrator Bios

  • Alberto Zavala, Principal


    "I am truly honored to have this opportunity to serve as principal of Good Elementary School," says Dr. Zavala.  "I am committed to the success of every child, and I look forward to working collaboratively with the entire Good community in building upon the amazing things that are already in place."


    Dr. Zavala has worked in education for more than 10 years, starting his career in Dallas ISD as a bilingual teacher.  He joined Irving ISD in 2011, working first as a bilingual instructional interventionist before moving into the assistant principal role, and later the principal role at Thomas Haley.


    A native of Irving, Dr. Zavala attended Schulze Elementary School, Bowie Middle School and graduated from Nimitz High School.


    Dr. Zavala earned a Master of Education in leadership and policy studies from the University of Arlington at Texas, where he also earned his undergraduate degree.  He earned his doctorate in educational leadership at Dallas Baptist University.

  • Claudia Robles, Assistant Principal

    Ms. Robles believes that education is the key to a better life. She also believes that every child has the potential to bring something unique and special to the world.


    Ms. Robles is entering her nineteenth year in education and is excited to be a part of the Good Family. Born, raised, and educated in Mexico where she earned her bachelor's degree in International Relations. She moved to Dallas in 2004 where she started her career as a bilingual teacher serving students in grades PK-5 and joined Irving ISD in 2017. Ms. Robles also earned her Master’s in Educational Leadership from Concordia University Texas.


    When she is not at school, Ms. Robles enjoys spending time with her family, reading, swimming, and learning to play piano.

    Tamiko Flores, Assistant Principal


    Ms. Flores began her educational career in 2006 as an instructional aide and teacher at Highland Meadows Elementary School in Dallas ISD.  In 2013, she joined Irving ISD where she served as a general educational teacher and 3-5 reading and math interventionist.  Ms. Flores received her master's degree in educational administration from the University of North Texas in Denton, where she also received her undergraduate degree.


    Ms. Flores feels honored to be an assistant principal at the campus she has called home for the past five years.  She loves this school and its community--parents, staff, and students--and looks forward to the continued growth and success that can be achieved here at John R. Good.
