  • Tiffany Williams, Principal

    Tiffany Williams is excited to serve as Principal for de Zavala Middle School.  She graduated from Harding University with a bachelor's degree in Kinesiology and a master's degree in Science Education. She completed her certificate in Educational Leadership through Lamar University.

    Mrs. Williams taught two years at the university level teaching Kinesiology courses and coaching volleyball, five years as a varsity volleyball coach and high school special education teacher, and four years teaching science in middle school.

  • Jaime Mendoza, Assistant Principal

    Mr. Mendoza is now entering his 10th year with Irving ISD. Mr. Mendoza was born in San Luis Potosi, Mexico and relocated to Irving, Texas with his family at the age of 6. Mr. Mendoza wanted to give back to where it all started, he wanted to thank all the teachers who helped him learn the English language and what better way than to serve in the district where it all started. 

    Mr. Mendoza attended John Haley Elementary School, Lee Britain Elementary School, Bowie Middle School and graduated from Nimitz High School.

    Mr. Mendoza is entering his second year at de Zavala Middle school. He previously served as an Assistant Principal at Brandenburg Elementary School for three years.

    Mr. Mendoza earned a Master of Education in leadership and policy studies from the University of Arlington at Texas, where he also earned his undergraduate degree.

  • Ronnie Davis, Assistant Principal

    Ronnie Davis is the new Assistant Principal at De Zavala Middle School.  Mr. Davis began his educational career as a math teacher and is currently serving in his 10th year in Irving ISD.  Prior to coming to De Zavala Middle School, he served as an Elementary Assistant Principal at Townsell Elementary, a districtwide Behavior Intervention Specialist, CPI Instructor, and a Human Resources Investigation and Grievances Officer for Irving ISD.  Mr. Davis is a strong advocate for education, and he believes that getting a proper education is the key to success in life.  He has a bachelor’s degree in business administration, a master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA), and he also completed his leadership certification through Lamar University.  He is excited to be back on campuses this year to serve as an instructional leader.

  • Anne Belizaire, Administrative Liaison

    Ms. Belizaire earned her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with an ESOL Endorsement from the University of South Florida. After serving as an elementary teacher for a few years, she moved to Texas and joined the DZ family as a math teacher. During her time at de Zavala, Ms. Belizaire served in many roles including Math Department Chair, PLC lead, pre-service and new teacher mentor, Math Interventionist and most recently was the Dean of Students. In 2019, Ms. Belizaire earned her Master of Education in Math Curriculum & Instruction from UTA and completed Lamar University’s Principal certification program in 2020. Ms. Belizaire is committed to the growth and achievement of all students and is excited to serve de Zavala in this new role as the Administrative Liaison!

  • Ursula Fantroy, Dean of Students

    Ms. Fantroy is a native of Grand Prairie, TX. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington and a Master’s degree in School Counseling from Lamar University. Ms.Fantroy is certified in the following areas: General Education (Early childhood-4th grade, Special Education, English as a Second Language, and School Counseling). She has worked in the education field for 20 years at the elementary and high school levels. Ms. Fantroy started her career in education working as a substitute teacher at various elementary schools in Grand Prairie. She then taught first graders for 4 years with Grand Prairie ISD and has worked at the high school level for the past 14 years. This is Ms.Fantroy’s first year working at a middle school and she is excited about the opportunity! Ms.Fantroy prides herself on her ability to educate and advocate academic success for all scholars and believes that building relationships with students and parents, encouraging self-advocacy, and uplifting her scholars are imperative to their overall success and achievement. Ms. Fantroy is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of scholars and looks forward to working with the students at de Zavala Middle School.
