Lesley Kelley, Principal
With 18 years of experience as an educator in Irving ISD, Kelley came onboard in 1999 as a special education teacher at Austin Middle School. After seven years in the classroom, Kelley was appointed assistant principal of Crockett Middle School and later the Student Reassignment Center where she has served since 2015. As a campus administrator, she oversaw summer school, PEIMS data, professional development, campus behavior and testing.
Cardwell offers students the flexibility of a split schedule with the unique opportunity to choose a customized, career-focused academic program outside of a non-traditional high school setting. Kelley joins Cardwell in the momentum of another successful academic year as demonstrated by its seniors, who earned the highest dollar amount in scholarships and grants ever received by a graduating Cardwell class.
"I am honored to be selected as the new principal of Barbara Cardwell Career Preparatory Center,” states Kelley. “I am excited to serve the students, parents and faculty."
Kelley holds a master’s degree in educational administration and supervision from the University of Phoenix and a Bachelor of Science in rehabilitation from UT Southwestern Medical Center – Allied Health Services. Before entering public education, she served adults with disabilities via in-home and community-living services through Dallas Metrocare and was also involved with Goodwill Industries and Texas Rehabilitation Commission.
Anna Trevino, Administrative Liaison
Ms. Trevino is one of the proudest members of the Fightin’ Texas Aggie class of 2006 where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus on Middle School Math and Science. She earned her Masters of Science degree in Educational Leadership from Cameron University in Oklahoma.
With 14 years of experience, Ms. Trevino most recently served as Math Interventionist at Austin Middle School in Irving ISD. Throughout her educational career, Ms. Trevino has taught math and science while coaching different girls’ sports in El Paso, Texas, and served as the Instructional Coach for Anadarko Middle School in Oklahoma.
Ms. Trevino is excited to have the opportunity to continue to work with our Irving students, parents and community. Ms. Trevino understands the unique features that Cardwell offers to students and hopes to offer her input and ideas to further cultivate a culture of learning where all students can be successful.
Chrissy Eubank, Assistant Principal
Ms. Eubank is an Irving ISD graduate, having attended Townley Elementary, Lamar Middle School, and Nimitz High School. She is in her 20th year as an educator, and has served as a teacher as well as an instructional coach at the elementary level, and as an administrator at the elementary, middle, and high school levels.
Eubank received her Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of North Texas and earned her Master’s Degrees in Reading and Educational Administration at Angelo State University. She is currently finishing her Ph.D coursework from Texas Tech University in Curriculum and Instruction and Teacher Education.
Ms. Eubank is excited to continue working with the parents, students, and teachers at Cardwell to motivate success and to continue the journey with staff and students in building a positive school culture. Cardwell’s unique design and family-like environment make the campus truly a place where students’ individual academic needs are met and their social and emotional needs are priority.
