I am thrilled to be the  Assistant Principal at Brandenburg Elementary! My greatest joy is serving our learning community at Brandenburg, interacting with our wonderful families, and nurturing relationships with our community members. A fun fact about me is that I attended Brandenburg Elementary as a student and now have the opportunity to give back to this amazing community.

I have a Bachelor’s degree in Bilingual Education from the University of Texas at Arlington and a Master’s degree in School Counseling from Lamar University.  Additionally, I have recently completed my Principal Certification at Lamar University. I’ve served in several different educational capacities: bilingual teacher, curriculum writer, and school counselor.

Most importantly, I am the proud mother of a Brandenburg cougar.

I cannot wait to see the growth and accomplishments our school will continue to achieve as we work together this year!

I have a Bachelor’s degree in Bilingual Education from the University of North Texas and a Master’s degree in Leadership with a focus on Dual Language from the University of Texas at Arlington. Additionally, I have recently completed my PhD in Curriculum & Instruction at the University of North Texas. I am very pleased and excited to have the opportunity to serve Brandenburg Elementary! I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from the University of North Texas and a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Texas at Arlington. Shortly after receiving my bachelor’s, I started my teaching career as a fifth-grade math teacher in Dallas Independent School District. A couple of years later, I joined Irving Independent School District as a 5th-grade Bilingual math and science teacher at John Haley Elementary.  While working for IISD, I have been a department chair, Teacher of the Year at John Haley, team lead, math interventionist, and administrative liaison.

I love the students of Irving and will do what is needed to ensure our students learn to their highest potential.  I look forward to working with you as a team to help all the students of Brandenburg meet their goals!
