The goal of the business services division of Irving ISD is to maintain the district’s strong financial position. Led by Chief Financial Officer Gary Micinski, the business office oversees the development, presentation and monitoring of the district’s budget in addition to the operations of the business office, purchasing department and tax office.

Irving ISD has been awarded a Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting by the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA). The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in governmental accounting and financial reporting, and its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by a government and its management. The Certificate of Achievement was presented to Steve Franks, Director of Business Operations, who prepared the comprehensive financial report submitted to GFOA.
