S.T.R.O.N.G. 98

This Spring, the Nimitz attendance office partnered with the Nimitz P.B.I.S. Team to start the S.T.R.O.N.G. 98. S.T.R.O.N.G is an acronym that stands for self-disciplined, trustworthy, respectful, organized, neatly dressed, and goal-driven.

Every Friday, for the remainder of the year during lunch we will recognize 100 students who have 98% attendance or better from the previous week. The 100 students are randomly chosen from the overall list of students that have 98% attendance or better. That equals to fewer than 2 absences and fewer than 6 tardies for the week. The 100 students will receive, via their school email, an award letter congratulating them on being part of the S.T.R.O.N.G. 98. During lunch, they are to come to the S.T.R.O.N.G. 98 table and show us their email to pick-up their S.T.R.O.N.G. 98 certificate, choose 1 item (popcorn, skittles, ice cream, or a pickle), they also get their picture taken with their certificate by the S.T.R.O.N.G. 98 banner.

    From the overall S.T.R.O.N.G. 98 list, 3 students are chosen to receive a free S.T.R.O.N.G. 98 t-shirt.

The goal is the S.T.R.O.N.G. 98 is to celebrate and recognize those students with excellent attendance in an effort to help the overall attendance and academic at Nimitz High School.
